Sustainability & Repairs

At Marloes Editions, sustainability is not an afterthought. It is at the core of everything I do.

Every garment begins with a conscious choice of materials and is guided by a deep respect for the craft of tailoring.

Materials

I work exclusively with deadstock designer fabrics: textiles that have already proven their quality and would otherwise go to waste. By giving these fabrics a second life, I create pieces that are both responsible and exceptional. Whenever possible, I choose natural fibers, but I also believe in using the right fabric for the right purpose. Sometimes a carefully chosen blend offers the strength, structure, or durability a garment needs to last for many years.

Details matter. I source deadstock horn and corozo buttons from designer houses, high-quality zippers, and metal hardware from Japan. These elements are not afterthoughts. They are essential to the garment’s integrity and longevity.

Craft

Every piece is made by my own hands, ensuring complete oversight of quality, fit, and finish. I design with longevity in mind, constructing garments that can be worn, lived in, and carried through different chapters of your life. Inside and out, the finishings are considered because a garment should feel as beautiful on the inside as it looks on the outside.

Tailoring for You

Clothing should serve the person wearing it. If you have long legs, shorter arms, or any other unique proportions, I can tailor pieces specifically to your body. Whether it is adjusting length, refining the fit, or creating something truly bespoke, I believe clothes should be made to carry you, not the other way around.

Repairs

Because every fabric, seam, and detail has passed through my own hands, I know the strength of each garment I make. I believe in the quality of my work, which is why I offer repairs for all Marloes Editions pieces.

If your item ever needs mending or adjustment, you can return it to me so I can restore it with the same care it was made with. Clothes are meant to be lived in, and I want yours to stay with you for as many years as possible.
